Shocking fuel prices

I couldn't believe the price of fuel when I picked up Dante from school this afternoon. Yesterday they were a mere $1.24/L but today they had risen to $1.439/L. It's amazing how the prices vary so much during the weekly cycle. Here in Sydney, Tuesday is usually the cheapest day and Thursday is the most expensive. I've seen prices increase by 16c/L but never by almost 20c. They did say on the news that prices would hit $1.50/L but I didn't believe them. I wish I had a hybrid car (but unfortunately they don't make hybrid people-movers yet).
