I've got one child standing at the top of the stairs whimpering, another screaming his head off like someone's chopping off his arm and the third has finally just stopped crying and fallen asleep. And Dan's off seeing a movie.
So, my dilemma is, do I spend the evening delving into the lives of craft bloggers out there on the world wide web, watch Stardust while knitting or tying threads on a quilt, or curl up in the foetal position in bed with a pillow over my head?
Ah, the joys of parenting.
Me, stressed? Who'd have guessed?

Have you seen the movie Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell? There's a scene where the Goldie character is completely overwhelmed and having a breakdown, and sitting and repeating "buh buh buh buh ..." while staring blankly. I swear I dream of doing that ... really dream of it.
I like the ice cream idea ... that on your lap with the tv on and the kiddos in bed ... ahhh! I hope you found some R&R!
I have seen that movie many times and definitely remember that scene. It's a pretty realistic portrayal, don't ya think??
Thanks for all the comments, guys. I ended up having an ice block and reading blogs. I started watching the movie the next night but fell asleep half way through. d'oh! Obviously needed more ice cream and red cordial :)
