Nice to meet you... I am from India and obsessed with the Booker stuff.

I read The God of Small things, thats all I think... I have the LIfe of Pi with me, but have never got round to reading it... I was working in an office till a year ago, so had kept all my reading plans till I started working from home, but now the British Council Library has shut shop in our town...

So this time I have bought two of this years's long listed ones, Aravind Adiga and Mhd. Hanif and last year Animal's People...and am getting down to reading it...will post the reviews as soon as i finish them.

What I did read and enjoyed immensely did not appear on the Booker list and the was the Kite Runner by Khaleid Hosseini... WOW! what a book... it's sincere, and wonderful...do read it if u you can..

Thanks for commenting!

Shan - you're way ahead of me :) I've got some catching up to do!

Yasho - Thanks for the recommendations. I've heard of "The Kite Runner" but will definitely put it on my list (although, that list is quite long now!)

Of the ones I've read, My order of best to worst are:

Life of Pi
English Patient
Blind Assassin
Possession
Amsterdam

I wouldn't bother with the last two. I was unimpressed with both of them.
